In life, we will have many trials. However, there is never a need to fear because Christ has overcome the world (paraphrased John 16:33)! This means there is nothing that you can go through in life that Christ has not already created a solution for. There is a promise for your problem!
Today I celebrate 42 years of life and will share with you seven promises of God that I have stood on to see God's goodwill in my life. Like many of you, I have had troubles but God has been faithful and His Word has always prevailed. May these scriptural promises help you in the journey of life as they have helped me. (There is a special message at the end of this post! 😀)
1. God's love for me is unconditional:
1 John 3: 1 TPT Look with wonder at the depth of the Father’s marvelous love that he has lavished on us! He has called us and made us his very own beloved children. The reason the world doesn’t recognize who we are is that they didn’t recognize him.
2. Don't worry, God will always provide:
Matthew 6: 31-33 TPT 31 “So then, forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ 32 For that is what the unbelievers chase after. Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require?33 “So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.
3. God will keep me from falling:
Jude 1: 24-25 NLT 24 Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. 25 All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.
4. With God, nothing is impossible:
Philippians 4:13 NLT For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
5. Christ is my wisdom:
1 Corinthians 1:30 NLT God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.
6. Because of Christ, I am healed:
1 Peter 2:24 NLT He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.
7. My children will serve the Lord:
Deuteronomy 11:18-21 NLT 18“So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. 19 Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. 20 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, 21 so that as long as the sky remains above the earth, you and your children may flourish in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors.
May these scriptural promises encourage you in the journey of life as they have been a great encouragement to me!
