Establishing an Authentic Relationship with Christ
Being authentic in our relationship with Christ is all about being vulnerable, open, and honest before Him. Authenticity paves the way for you to truly reveal how you feel so that God can help you heal. My MIL (mother-in-love) gave me this wisdom years ago when she would often say, “Danielle, ask God to reveal so that He can heal.” Instead of being authentic with God, we often try and cover our sins, shame, regret, and fear. In doing so, we hope God will not see our mess. God delights in us despite the mess in our lives. He doesn’t judge us like men because through our belief in Jesus we have already been judged as not guilty! Through an authentic relationship with Christ, you can draw close to Jesus through the trials and triumphs of life.

Lord,
I am grateful for the freedom to be vulnerable with you. Thank you for not judging me as I expose to you my fears, insecurities, and doubts. You provide a safe space for me to reveal how I truly feel. May your presence and power bring wholeness and healing to every area of my life.
